Garment remodelling with a careful eye

Our workshop in Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni focuses on tailoring, clothing alterations, and garment remodelling. We begin with a garment assessment so the design, construction, and material condition can guide the work from the start.

Whether you want to update a vintage piece, refine a favourite garment, or explore an upcycling idea, we keep the process practical and transparent. Every project is reviewed before work begins, and any additional steps are approved first.

Our story

How we work

Our process is built around clear communication, realistic planning, and respect for the original garment.

2018

Assess the garment

A project starts with an enquiry and a review of the garment and its materials. This helps us understand what can be changed, what should be preserved, and where the limits of the fabric may shape the result.

Assessment first

Approve the concept

We then discuss the concept, outline the scope, and prepare a quote after the assessment. Once the design is approved, the remodelling work can begin with the agreed details in place.

Final review at collection

Review the finish

Before collection, the finished piece is checked again for fit or finish. If a small final adjustment is needed, it is handled carefully so the agreed design remains intact.

Why choose us

What guides every project

From vintage fit updates to redesign projects, our work is shaped by the garment itself and by the result you want to keep wearing.

ST

Clear assessment

We work with the garment in front of us, not with assumptions. Construction, seam allowances, fabric condition, and fit limitations are reviewed before any final quote or redesign decision is made.

UP

Thoughtful reuse

Upcycling is most effective when the original material is used well. We look for strong sections, workable seams, and practical ways to reshape fabric into something useful and wearable.

FI

Fit with realism

Fit matters, but it depends on the garment's construction and condition. We check the piece carefully, explain the planned changes, and confirm the approach before work begins.

AP

Approval first

If extra work or materials are needed, we discuss them first. That keeps the project clear from concept to collection and helps avoid surprises during the remodelling process.
